Number Trail is a path-building logic puzzle. The numbered circles are fixed checkpoints, but the cells between them are yours to connect. A valid solution forms one continuous orthogonal trail, visits checkpoints from the smallest number to the largest, and uses every square exactly once.
Easy puzzles use a 5×5 grid with more checkpoints to divide the route into shorter decisions. Medium uses a 6×6 board with balanced guidance. Hard expands to 7×7 and reveals fewer checkpoints, so planning open space and avoiding isolated cells matters more.
Before extending a long section, look for cells that could become trapped. Corners and narrow channels usually have fewer ways in and out, so reserve enough space to connect them. If a move seals off an unfilled region, drag one step backward or press Undo rather than resetting the whole board.
The daily puzzle is generated deterministically from the America/New_York calendar date, a Number Trail game identifier, and a versioned generator. The complete valid path is created first; numbered checkpoints are then placed along that path. This guarantees that every published board has at least one verified solution.
Your current daily path, completion history, and streak are stored locally in this browser so a refresh does not erase the round. A hint highlights the next cell on the generated route and is included in the shared result count. No account, personal profile, or server-side puzzle history is required.

Yes. Focus the board, use arrow keys to extend the path, Backspace to undo, H for a hint, and R to reset.
