ClueMotive publishes only three list pages that explain a distinct spelling pattern and provide a useful set of results. Starting letters, ending letters, exact positions, and combined constraints belong in the interactive finder, where they can be answered directly without creating repetitive pages.

When to use a list or the finder

Use a list when you want to study a broad pattern, such as adjacent repeated letters. Use the finder when you already know one or more positions, need a starting or ending letter, or must include and exclude several letters at once. The finder searches the same licensed five-letter dataset and reports the active rules with every result set.

Turn feedback into a useful search

Place letters with confirmed positions directly in the five-character pattern and use ? for every unknown square. Put confirmed but misplaced letters under Must include. Add a letter to Must exclude only when the puzzle has ruled it out completely; repeated-letter feedback can mean one copy is valid while another is not.
